Overview
What is PROSTATIC CANCER PROBABILITY SCREEN ?
CA 15.3 is a protein found in the blood that is typically elevated in patients with breast cancer. This test is primarily used to monitor the progress of breast cancer during and after treatment. Serial testing aids in the early detection of cancer spread or recurrence. It is also used as a marker to detect early signs of breast cancer in individuals at high risk. However, it should not be used as a general population screening test because several other conditions can also cause elevated CA 15.3 levels in the blood.
